Nailah Jinnah
Co-Founder
Nailah Jinnah is a founding member of JSM Healthcare Partners. As a health system executive and consultant, she has led innovation at organizations including health systems, academic medical centers, large physician groups, and community hospitals. Her expertise includes achieving transformational mergers and partnerships, developing innovative consumer-focused programs, and leading geographic expansion. Ms. Jinnah previously served as the Vice President for Strategy and Interim Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Beaumont Health, a $4.5 B health system. As part of a core team of senior executives, Ms. Jinnah led the evaluation and pursuit of transformational partnerships resulting in the formation of Corewell Health (formerly Beaumont Health Spectrum Health). She holds an MBA from Cornell University and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from St. Andrews University in Scotland.
Gretchen Speakman
Co-Founder
Gretchen Speakman is a founding member of JSM Healthcare Partners, and has been advising healthcare and not-for-profit clients on strategic issues for over 15 years. Prior to JSM Healthcare Partners, Gretchen served as an Executive Advisor to ERDMAN’s Advisory Services team, and a member of the Healthcare Provider Strategy group at Navigant Consulting, in addition to roles in finance for a hospital and a long term care organization. Gretchen earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she also completed the Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy, and was awarded the Mary H. Bachmeyer Award, given annually to the student who exhibits outstanding academic achievement and promise for leadership in healthcare. Gretchen earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and Management from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio
John McHugh
Co-Founder
John McHugh is a founding member of JSM Healthcare Partners. After nearly a decade at Tiber Group/ Navigant Consulting conducting strategic planning engagements with clients across the United States, John pursued his PhD in Health Services Research. Since 2016, he has been a faculty member and is the current faculty co-director of the management programs at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy and Management. He holds a PhD in Health Services Research with an emphasis on organizational theory and health economics from the School of Public Health at Brown University and an MBA with a concentration in Health Sector Management from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a finance concentration and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
